MORE THAN 7,000 ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS RECEIVED TO DATE
~ 79,000 New Voter Registrations in the Commonwealth Since November 2008 Election ~

With two and a half weeks left until the June 9th primary elections in Virginia, the State Board of Elections (SBE) has released new registration and absentee voting statistics.

Since the 2008 Presidential General Election, approximately 79,000 Virginians have registered to vote in the Commonwealth. This numbers shows a net increase of approximately 45,000 voters in Virginia.

To date, 6,617 absentee ballot applications have been submitted across the Commonwealth for Democratic primaries. 824 absentee ballot applications have been submitted statewide for Republican primaries.
