Staff & Services Available January 2009 to Assist Residents of Southside Virginia

Washington, DC - Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) today announced the selection of a site for his new district office in Danville, Va. to serve the people of Danville, Martinsville, South Boston and surrounding areas. Opening in January 2009, the Danville office’s full-time staff will help area residents with federal issues relating to Social Security and Medicare benefits, veterans’ benefits, legal immigration, federal student loans, military service, and other federally-related matters.
Senator Webb’s new district office will be located at 308 Craghead Street, Suite 102-A, in the heart of Danville’s Historic Tobacco Warehouse District.
“I look forward to opening our new office in Danville both to help constituents and to have a permanent presence in the City of Danville,” said Webb. “The accessibility of my Senate staff to Virginians is deeply important to me. The new office will offer Danville-area residents resources and one-on-one assistance with federal issues.
“Our office will be located in a section of downtown with great potential as part of the larger revitalization of Danville,” continued Webb. “We are eager to support that effort as part of the community.”
Senator Webb has five additional district offices in Richmond, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, Northern Virginia, and Norton.
