The Louisa County Board of Supervisors hired Greg L. Hoffman to take over the duties of county attorney for Louisa. Hoffman joined the county on April 6, 2009.

“The ability of the county to effectively find solutions to challenges is of paramount importance, and I am confident that Greg will maintain the high standards expected by the board and the public,” Chairman Willie L. Harper said.

Prior to joining the county’s administration, Hoffman was general counsel and secretary for Bankers Financial Corporation, a financial services corporation located in St. Petersburg, Florida, and was legal counsel to the North American sales team of the Whirlpool Corporation.

Vice Chairman Willie L. Gentry (Cuckoo District) stated, “The board is happy to have someone with Greg’s skills and experience to run our legal department. He brings a wealth of knowledge from outside government to his new position.”

Hoffman earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law in Richmond, Virginia, and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Studies from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida.

“I am honored to join the county’s team of talented professionals and look forward to helping the board further the goals and objectives of their districts,” said Hoffman. “The board is focused on how government can achieve meaningful results for Louisa County citizens. I am excited to provide legal counsel for such an organization.”
