New Exhibit Explores County’s Agrarian Past
Step into the shoes of a farm family. It is hard to imagine, but in the not too distant past, Fairfax was an agricultural county with large, prosperous farms and close-knit farming communities. Come explore those simpler times through a new interactive, multimedia exhibit.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the Fairfax County Park Authority Board, and the Friends of Frying Pan Farm Park cordially invite you to the opening of a new exhibit entitled, “Dig into the Past.” This powerful collection recalls Fairfax County’s rich agricultural past. Join us as we travel back in time and let local families describe what life on the farm was really like.
Opening ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at noon at the visitor center at Frying Pan Farm Park. Join us for brief remarks and a chance to view the new exhibit.
