STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS MOVING TO THE WASHINGTON BUILDING
~ Agency Activates Emergency Numbers While Normal Phone Service Is Disrupted ~
The State Board of Elections will be moving on May 1st, 2009. The agency will now be located in the Washington Building at 1100 Bank Street, Richmond 23219. All visitors must come in the Bank Street entrance. Entrance from Capitol Square is restricted to building occupants only.
Beginning at 11 AM on Thursday April 30 extending until 8 AM on Monday May 4, 2009, the State Board of Elections will not have normal telephone service due to reinstallation of the phone system in the new building. During these hours, SBE staff will have access to email but we will have limited staff availability. The State Board of Elections has activated two emergency contact numbers during this time period. In the case of emergency, please call (804) 382-1326 or (804) 382-1419 and a member of SBE’s staff will be available for assistance.
