Here is a photo taken February 13, 2009 at the groundbreaking in Williamsburg for the new CityGreen Condominium and retail development on the old Southern Inn Property. The development uses sustainable, ecofriendly materials and innovative construction to preserve the environment.
The Williamsburg Economic Development Authority (EDA) provided $40,000 towards the demolition. That is part of an ongoing EDA demolition loan program to encourage redevelopment of underused commercial properties in the city.
